FASTING AND PRAYER WEEK 2

• Praise God with songs and words of adoration

• Ask God for forgiveness, based on Psalm 51 confess your sins and ask for mercy.

Prayer points 

1) Thank You God for Your love that never ceases and your mercies that are new every morning, LORD I ask for a new beginning today, may I receive fresh mercy and grace upon my life, in Jesus name.

• Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV

2) Heavenly Father as I start afresh with You, please create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me, in Jesus name. 

• Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 NKJV

3) Heavenly Father in this season of new beginnings, clear away all my old ways that did not glorify You, please make me new again, in Jesus name. 

• Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

4) LORD please do new things in my life that when eyes see it, and ears hear it, they will be amazed and glorify Your name, in Jesus name. 

• But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV

5) LORD in this season of fasting, please ignite and refresh my prayer life, help me to always seek Your face, in Jesus name.

• praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18 NKJV

6) LORD in this season of fasting, please renew my zeal to study Your word, may I be consistent in spending quality time in Your presence, in Jesus name.

• Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

7) Heavenly Father, as You made a way in the red sea for the Israelites to start afresh, please help me to always go forward and never look backwards again, in Jesus name.  

• And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. Exodus 14:15 NKJV

8) LORD as I begin afresh, please restore every lost opportunity, resources and time by a hundredfold, in Jesus name. 

• So I will restore to you the years that the swarming [a]locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. Joel 2:25 NKJV

9) LORD please give me new ideas, new thoughts and new insights that make me accomplish great things for Your Kingdom in Jesus name.

• I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV

10) Almighty God, everything that is standing in the way of my new beginning let it be broken into pieces, in Jesus name.

• The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the [a]horn of His anointed. 1 Samuel 2:10 NKJV
