This weeks bible study lesson, will be based on Genesis chapter 49 and 50:

1) Reflecting on chapter 49, how important is a father’s blessing?

2) Looking at verses 3-4, why are Jacob’s words towards Reuben the most painful?

3) Reflecting on verses 5-7, why did Jacob rebuke Simone and Levi? What consequences must they endure?

4) Looking at verses 8-12, what are the key points in Judah’s blessings?

5) Based on verses 13-21, discuss what you think the blessings mean for each of these men.

6) What is so special about the blessing Joseph received in verses 22-26?

7) In verses 15-21 (chapter 50) did the brothers really believe Joseph had forgiven them? Although Joseph forgave them and even reassured them, do you think they ever forgave themselves?

8) What does Joseph display in verses 24-25 of chapter 50?
